Milntuim Hermitage

Milntuim Hermitage was established in 2012 as a residence for nuns of the Thai Forest Tradition. It comprises a house set in a remote rural area with 13 acres of woodland. Ajahn Candasiri has been there since then and welcomes nuns and anagarikaas from Amaravati and Chithurst Monasteries to come to spend periods of time there. Eventually, she would like to establish a small community of female monastics.

There are some facilities for guests who wish to follow the monastic lifestyle for short periods of time. This includes living according to the Eight Precepts, attending morning and evening pujas and meditation, and participating in maintenance tasks, gardening or food preparation.
